An appeal to save the life of Rupuni Terangpi, 13 year old school child from Diphu
Writing this on behalf of Rev.Fr.John Timung, the diocesan administrator of the Diocese of Diphu, Assam.
Rupini Terangpi a small girl of 13 years is a resident of Bhetagaon of Sarihajan in Karbi Anglong. Presently she is a student of Don Bosco School Diphu and a hostel girl of Class VI. The Father of the child is Mr.Sarthe Terang aged 45 years and mother is Mrs.Omphu Tokbipi. The parents are farmers and have three children two girls and a boy. Rupini was doing well in the school but tragedy struck her recently.
On 18th of October she was taken to Diphu civil hospital when she complained of severe pain in the stomach. The doctors could not identify the sickness and she was refereed to catholic hospital on 20th October. Finding her situation was becoming worse she was shifted to St.John's Hospital Guwahati on 30th October. Today she is shifted to Guwahati Medical college for further treatment. Initial findings by the doctors say that she needs to go for the bone marrow test which is costing Rs.60,000 (Sixty thousand rupees).
Fr.John Timung has spend more than 10 thousand rupees for her treatment, the parents are not able to spend the money for their treatment as they live in abject poverty. Through the help of many people we have supported this cause up to this stage.
