How to make your Holy Mass celebration memorable

Saint Thomas Aquinas once said "The celebration of Holy mass is as valuable as the death of Jesus on the cross". Holy Mass is considered the most precious way to worship God to receive His grace, to unify with Him and the church through the Holy sacrament of the Eucharist. Jesus Himself has instituted this sacrament on the eve of His death and asked His disciples to celebrate it in His memory. (St. Luke 22:19). It is a celebration, a sacrament, a sacrifice, a communion, in which Lord Jesus Christ is present in WORD (Holy Gospel) , Sacramental bread and wine, in His priests, in peoples gathering and we receive Lord through his Word and  the Eucharist.

During Holy Mass celebration, we remember the  birth, public ministry, suffering , death, resurrection, ascension and second coming of our lord Jesus Christ. Here are some guidelines that you could follow , to make your Holy Mass experience a marvelous one.
  • First of all LOVE JESUS IN THE MASS
  • Come early for the Holy Mass. At least 10 minutes before the Mass starts.
  • Observe Silence and Prepare Yourself by Praying in your heart. Seek forgiveness for sins committed and pray to Holy Spirit to sanctify the your heart. Forgive all those who hurt you and pray for them in the mass.
  • Actively and reverently participate in the Holy Mass. Instead of being a mere Mass viewer, be active in giving responses and singing with church choir.
  • With prayerful mind and attentive heart listen to proclamation of the Holy Gospel and the homily after that.
  • Always remember that in each Holy Mass Lord Jesus is present as in the Last Supper, So focus your attention to the entire celbration of the Mass.
  • Sing or pray Lord's prayer reverently.
  • During Offertory, generously give from what God have blessed you with.
  • Simile and Say "Peace be with You" from your heart.
  • With Prayerful and Joyful heart receive the Body of Christ (Holy communion).
  • After Holy communion, believe that now Lord Jesus is in You. Kneel and talk to Jesus in you. Ask Him to strengthen and guide You. Silently say "Jesus I love You".
  • Don't leave after the dismissal of Mass, wait until the song is finished.
  • Share and grow your faith : Share with you family and friends the learning and impact of reading, homily and holy mass had on you.

Your mass celebration will be more effective, if you:

Holy Mass Quotes from Bible
Then he took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” And he did the same with the cup after supper, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood. (St. Luke 22:19-20)

"Truly, truly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood, has eternal life and I will raise him up, at the last day" (St. John 6:53).
