Every time you give Love sincerely & unselfishly,
You give God, because God is Love!
Opportunities To Grow In Grace…
Wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Colossians 3:14
A grandmother celebrating her golden wedding anniversary shared the secret of her long, happy marriage: "On my wedding day I decided to make a list of ten of my husband's faults, which for the sake of our marriage I would overlook.
I never did get around to listing any.
But each time my husband did something I didn't like, I would say to myself, 'Fortunately for him that's one of the ten!'"
She was a wise lady!
Physical intimacy may bring you together, but growing in grace will keep you together!
Here's an idea that will help your marriage go the distance.
When your mate upsets you, instead of responding with angry words (or, angry silence), stop and remind yourself that this is an opportunity to 'grow in grace.'
And don't worry if you didn't do too well last time, you'll get another opportunity - probably before today is over.
And you'll keep getting them.
Opportunities to be nice, opportunities to be forgiving, opportunities to put your mate first, Opportunities to just bite your lip and overlook a fault!
Frame these words and put them on your wardrobe:
"I dress today in the robe God picked out for me:- Compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline, Even-temperedness, content with second place and quick to forgive an offence completely as the Master forgave me.”
Admonish one another with all wisdom!( Col 3:16) and gentleness.
And regardless of what else you put on, wear love.
It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.
Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune and in step with each other today!
In all situations be thankful to Him.
PRAISE GOD
BLESSED BE THE ONE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD
