Holiness - What Would Jesus Do...

Follow the principle of W.W.J.D in your life... and you will be holy...the theory this is.. What Would Jesus Do...    while you are confronted with anything.. just think WWJD and decide... u life will be holy... Holiness is an important teaching of the Church,which we haven't understood or has neglected without understanding the importance of Holiness.Lets look what our Church and the Bible speaks about Holiness. Catechism of the Catholic Church -2013 "All Christians in any state or walk of life are called to the fullness of Christian life and to the perfection of charity."65 All are called to holiness: "Be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect."66In order to reach this perfection the faithful should use the strength dealt out to them by Christ's gift, so that . . . doing the will of the Father in everything, they may wholeheartedly devote themselves to the glory of God and to the service of their neighbor. Thus the holiness of the People of God will grow in fruitful abundance, as is clearly shown in the history of the Church through the lives of so many saints.67 Holiness is the call of all loving kids of the heavenly father . We may have been attending the Holy Mass , Have gone through retreats , confessions ,counseling etc . But it is worthy to think "What has been my concept of Holiness" ? "How Holy have i been in my walk of Faith"? " Is Holiness merely constrained to staying away from drinks and alcohol " ? Why i am called to be Holy? But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9, KJV). It is pretty clear from the verse,we are special people, privileged to be separated from the darkness of the World . The sole purpose of our life is to Adore or God with Praises and to share his abundant love to the unreached. ( Ref : Lev 11:43-45 ) Why am I so precious ? For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John3:16) This verse is enough to understand the Love of your father . Giving up his own life for unworthy kids like me and you . Until the day i learned about the precious love of Christ his wounds never hurt me.But once the holy spirit made me realize about the Holiness and the Love he showed for me in the Cross,it made me clear that each of my action,words leaving behind HOLINESS we have called for will be a wound in the body of Christ. Why should i keep myself Holy ? 2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be. We know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is. 3 And every one who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure (1 John 3:2-3). The Hope of a Christian is the day when our God would come and take his sheep with him . But be Sure,the call is not for everyone only for the HOLY ones.What we need to attain is his Holiness.It is true we have many Human Weakness which may lead us in to temptation but if you believe in a Holy Lord ,he will never let us Sin. I had a tough experience whenever i thirst for holiness,i will face temptations of lust,sexual thoughts.But the day i came to know that my Lord has been tempted like me with worldly offerings but still he won over them,it strengthens me.(Heb2:18 " Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted".) What all areas Shall i be Holy ? Holiness is not merely about quitting Alcohol,drinks or drugs .We should be keen in understanding the temptation of the evil which may lead us in to Sin . Holiness should be kept in all fields of life.A few to list :- 1.Personal Life 2.Talks 3.Family Life 4.Social Life 5.Work 6.Thoughts 7.Dressing. 8.Actions 8.Relationships 9.Friendships. Its time to realize and to restrict TV programs,movies,dance programs that may deviate us form our Holy thoughts. Holiness is not something unattainable,it never means you have live alone in a room,walk alone or nothing like that.In our social life,family life we can be SAINTS and ANGELS.Through Us let others learn and practice Holiness. The talk about Holiness has to continue because it cant be concluded in few sentence.Share your views and lets make this fruitful.
