Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church is commonly known as Manjummel Church ( Manjummel Palli) . It in Archdiocese of Verapoly ( Varapuzha , Roman Catholic Latin rite) under the pastoral administration of St PIUS Xth Manjummel province . It was blessed on December 1892 and is one of the century-old churches in Kerala.

In the year 2015 the church celebrated its 150th Anniversary and 125th Darsana Thirunal. Church Feast days are from Dec 2 to Dec 16. Three smaller nearby parishes such as Fathima Matha Church, Muttar, St. Joseph's Church, Eloor and St. Sebastian's Shrine, Eloor are the substations of Manjummel Church.

In the Year of Mercy December 8, 2015 – November 20, 2016 from December 13, 2015 all the Holy Doors in Cathedrals and designated churches throughout the world opened to pilgrims. Pope Francis had announced an opportunity for Catholics to obtain a plenary indulgence during the Year of Mercy by passing through a designated Holy Door of Mercy during this Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy. No confessions heard on Sundays. In emergency please approach the Priest at the Monastery.
On Mon to Friday, you can request the priest for hearing confession after Holy mass.

Please note: If you are in an emergency to receive the Sacrament of Confession, please contact the resident Priest at any Church. Also, in most of the Churches Confessions can be done on request either before or after the daily Holy Mass.

Manjummel church Eucharistic adoration chapel

There is a Eucharistic Adoration center called "Karunya Koodaram" attached to the church, there visitors can offer silent prayers from 8:00 AM till 8:00PM. The perpetual adoration chapel was blessed on June 5th 2016 following the feast of Corpus Christi.

Kerala's first retreat centre CRC is in Manjummel . The Carmel Retreat Centre known as CRC  was started in 1967  by the St Pius X Province of the Order of the Discalced Carmelites of Manjummel  for boosting the spiritual growth of the people. Retreats for different age groups, priests, nuns, school children, youth, professionals are being conducted here. It was also known as Carmel Retreat cum Workers' Centre (CRWC). Fr Aurelian : He was declared Venerable on March 26, 1999

Tombs of Blessed saints
Manjummel Church is also a Pilgrim centre. Tombs of Blessed Fr. Zacharias OCD ( 1887 - 1957 )and Servant of God Fr Aurelian (Venerable Aurelian of the Blessed Sacrament June 2, 1887 – Nov. 16, 1963) are inside the church. Lots of people visit this church to offer prayers. both of these saint were missionaries from Spain.

Feast days of Manjummel church
Manjummel church or Immaculate conception church is dedicated to St Mary (Mother of Jesus Christ). Manjummel Parish celebrates feast days ( Darsana thirunal ) from December 2 to 16 of every year. There will be a grand procession on evening of Dec 7th, in which thousands of people participate and offer their prayers.

Carmelite Museum Manjummel Church
