As Per Catholic Church teachings
, Purgatory is a place for Purification of souls who die in grace of god and we have to pray for those poor souls in purgatory as they can do nothing for themselves. The dear and nears of the souls can do lot of things for release of souls. Most important thing to do is to Offer holy Mass and Receive Holy Communion for Poor Souls In Purgatory.Watch this beautiful video
Para 1030, 1031 and 1032 of Catechism of catholic church CCC
says:
- Have a Mass offered for a departed soul
- Celebrate Holy mass and Receive Holy Communion in remembrance of dead soul.
- Pray The Way Of The Cross for Souls in Purgatory.
- Do penance acts
- Pray holy Rosary, Novena to the Holy Souls.
- Works of penance undertaken on behalf of the dead
- Help poor in all the ways you can
STILL, NOT SURE ABOUT PURGATORY?
People do not realize what Purgatory is. They have no conception of its dreadful pains, and they have no idea of the long years that souls are detained in these awful fires. As a result, they take little or no care to avoid Purgatory themselves, and worse still, they cruelly neglect the Poor Souls who are already there and who depend entirely on them for help.
