In greek versions of Holy Bible the names mentioned for Word of God are LOGOS and RHEMA. Some modern Christian theologians differentiates Rhema from Logos as LOGOS refers to the written scriptures while Rhema refers to the revelation from the Holy Spirit received by the reader who reads Word (logos).
Logos ( λόγος ) - the entire word of God (Holy Bible) - Written revelation from God. Logos is used 330 times in New testament.
Gospel of St John 1:1 Says "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God". Here Logos is used in ancient Greek texts to represent Word and also represents a title of Jesus Christ.
Rhema ( ῥῆμα )- Spoken revelation from God - the word of God which touches you ( specific sentence or word which touches or speaks to you). Rhema is used 70 times in New testament.
How Logos becomes Rhema?
Think of this situation:
Suppose you are in a desperate situation and no hope of help and you dont know what to do. Then you starts praying and with prayerful heart, you opens Holy Bible and reads it. A word or sentence in Bible touches and consoles you, suddenly peace of mind fills in your heart and make you feel fresh and asks you to move forward and you feels like someone is guiding you to overcome the issue. Here Holy Bible ( Word of God or Logos ) becomes Rhema to you.
In other words, LOGOS is spoken to whole community ie, it is general, but RHEMA is a personal experience and it is spoken for a specific time and person.
Reference:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made . . . The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
— John 1:1-3, 14
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
— Hebrew 4:12
