In this "high pressure" world...
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
Not so long ago, I read a newspaper editorial.
It said:
"The world is too big for us. Too much going on, too many crimes, too much violence and excitement. . . It's an incessant strain to keep pace -- and still, you lose ground. Science empties its discoveries on you so fast that you stagger beneath them in hopeless bewilderment… Everything is high pressure. Human nature can't endure much more!"
Are you surprised if I tell you that the article was published in The Atlantic Journal on June 16, 1833 -- more than 160 years ago?
What I'm trying to say is that people don't change.
Technology may make the world more advanced -- but people remain the same from one year to another.
Our hopes, our dreams, our sins, and our worries are always the same.
Oh, there's one other thing that's the same.
That's our Lord Jesus Christ!
His love for us and His presence by our side are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
In this "high pressure" world -- it's a pretty big comfort to know He's around!

The Apostle's Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried, He descended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead; He ascended into Heaven, sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
