Importance of Guardian Angels in our life - How do they daily protect us - Logic behind seeking their intercession
October 2 is the feast day of Guardian Angels. It is the time to think how important is the role of guardian angels in your life. it is the time to pray for their wonderful intercession.
They are with us like our shadow and protect us from various mishaps. They walk with us. When we are asleep, they guard us, they partake in our happiness and sorrows and they are always with us. An Angel is a powerful heavenly protector for your personal care....So loving and caring, isn't it?
According to St. Basil's words " Besides each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life." (CCC 336). Since they do not have bodies, we are not able to see them. Since they are not visible, we are not bothered about their presence. Since they are immortal spirits, we do not remember them.
As per catholic studies, each person receives a guardian angel from God and they are vigilant in protecting people from their birth till death.
Pope Benedict 16th once said, " An angel is a personal path with which God turns to me ".
It is a good practice to pray to guardian Angels for us and for others. Once Pope Francis, while addressing a meeting asked people to request for intercession of guardian angels as it is a good thing to make as a habit.
"For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up" (psalm 91;11,12)
Respect your guardian angel and be thankful for their protection, love them, pray for their protection during the time of temptations and sufferings
Always remember that you are in the presence of your Guardian Angel.
