Edappally St. George Syro-Malabar Catholic Forane Church commonly known as "Edapally Pally" or "Edappally Mar Geevarghese Sahada church" is one among the famous pilgrim centers in Kerala India. It is under the pastoral administration of Ernakulam - Angamaly Siro Malabar Archdiocese. The first church was built in AD 593 in the land donated by The Raja of Edappally. This Church was one of the most important and ancient churches built in India after the seven churches (Ezharapallikal) built by St. Thomas the apostle who came to India to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Feast of St George
The feast of St George in Edappally Forane Church starts on April 25th and lasts till May 15th. The annual feast at the St. George's Forane Church is celebrated on 3rd and 4th of May and the Octave (Ettamidam) on 10th and 11th of May.
