October, Month of the Holy Rosary
The month of October has a great importance in life of a catholic christian. While thinking about October, first thought that comes in a Catholic's mind is the Veneration of Our Lady of Holy Rosary. While meditating or reciting Holy Rosary we pray to God Almighty through Our Holy Mother St Mary for two important things in our life. In the prayer we say "pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death".
1. The word "now" in the prayer signifies the need of protection and help from God in our daily deeds. So we request our holy mother to interceed for us NOW (at this moment in your life). While praying this you can submit all of your needs for this worldly life as well as other peoples prayer requests.
2. "Hour of our death" signifies the blessing at the time of a persons death. Blessing at the hour of death means a good happy and peaceful death. It doesn't mean a death with out pain or suffering, instead it points to the state of a mans soul, where there is no severe sins left to be forgiven and in such a condition, there will be no obstacle for the soul in its journey to heaven.
God allows Our dearest Holy Mother to helps us in our worldly life as well as in the hour of our death. So God Almighty is willing to bless us in our daily life and to provide us with a happy death through our blessed Mother. So for this we pray with Mother mary through Holy Rosary.
St Dominic of Spain, was the person behind spreading of Devotion to Holy Rosary. It is belived that in the year 1214, he had a vision of Mother Mary, in which she asked him to pray using Holy Rosary. The Rosary in our hand has passed through centuries of transformations. While praying using Holy Rosary, we meditate on episodes in the life and death of Jesus from the Annunciation to the Ascension and beyond through four mysteries named Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries.
How to pray Rosary
The Rosary is a marvellous prayer. It combines the 3 types of prayer; Meditation, Contemplation and Petition. Pray the Rosary slowly. Ideally a 5 decade rosary should take between 30 to 40 mins. Choose a quiet place to pray; switch off your phone, tv and radio. Always remember, Rosary is a powerful prayer, in the he moment we take the Rosary in our hands, the devil wants to prevent us from praying it, so commit yourself to pray the Rosary properly with the help of your guardian angel. If you have Holy water with you, then sprinkle the praying place with it.

The Hail Mary is one among the most common prayers used by catholic Christians around the world. It is based on two passages ( Luke 1:28-35 and 42-48) in Gospel of St Luke from the Holy Bible.
Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb,Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Gospel according to St Luke Chapter 1, Versus 28-35 reads:
He went in and said to her, 'Rejoice, you who enjoy God's favor! The Lord is with you.' She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked herself what this greeting could mean, but the angel said to her, 'Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God's favour. Look! You are to conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; he will rule over the House of Jacob for ever and his reign will have no end.' Mary said to the angel, 'But how can this come about, since I have no knowledge of man?' The angel answered, 'The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God.
Gospel according to St Luke Chapter 1, Versus 42-48 reads:
She gave a loud cry and said, 'Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Why should I be honoured with a visit from the mother of my Lord? Look, the moment your greeting reached my ears, the child in my womb leapt for joy. Yes, blessed is she who believed that the promise made her by the Lord would be fulfilled.' And Mary said: My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour; because he has looked upon the humiliation of his servant. Yes, from now onwards all generations will call me blessed.
